Helen’s Acres Community Farm is seeking a skilled leader to oversee crop planning, land stewardship, greenhouse operations, and supervision of a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. This role is hands‑on and central to our mission of improving local food security. Seasonal full‑time | March–October| 37.5/hrs a week

Helen’s Acres Community Farm is a 24-acre farm located in the heart of Kelowna, BC. Owned and operated by the Trinity Legacy Foundation, we provide fresh food to feed vulnerable individuals and families in the Central Okanagan.

The Farm Manager is responsible for all aspects of the production and sustainability of fresh vegetables and small fruit. Some flex hours are required based on crop needs and include early morning start times in the summer months. Outdoor duties are performed in all weather conditions, and an indoor office space is provided.

Minimum Qualifications:

·       Knowledgeable in commercial crop production; experience with vegetables and small fruit production is an asset.

·       Demonstrated understanding of land management, sustainability, organic and modern horticultural techniques.

·       Able to operate tractors, small farm equipment, field implements and tools safely and efficiently in accordance with WorkSafe BC regulations and provincial guidelines for both employees and volunteers.

·       Class 5 driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Highly developed organizational and time management skills.

·       Collaborates and communicates well with diverse groups, including Helen’s Acres clients, summer staff and volunteers.

·       Team-oriented approach aligned with Helen’s Acres commitment to maintain an inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment.

·       Able to delegate tasks and provide the required training for volunteers and students to meet or exceed BC provincial volunteer/work guidelines.

·       Diploma or Degree in agriculture or food production, or an equivalent of three years of experience is an asset.

·       One or two years of experience with overhead or drip irrigation systems; greenhouse plant production is an asset.
