Protect your account by choosing a password that is at least 8 characters long and includes a mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

Stay away from easy-to-guess passwords like password123, your company name alone, or common phrases.

AgSafe BC is the province’s agriculture safety association and a COR Certifying Partner, dedicated to promoting safe and healthy workplaces across BC’s diverse agricultural sector. Through education, training, and hands-on support, AgSafe works directly with producers and workers to reduce workplace injuries and build a culture of safety. With a strong commitment to inclusion, integrity, and industry collaboration, AgSafe is here to support the success and sustainability of agriculture in every region of the province.
The Certificate of Recognition program is an incentive program recognizing and rewarding employers for implementing an effective Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) program which demonstrates a commitment to workplace health and safety. Participation in the program is voluntary.
The COR program is a natural extension of your existing health and safety program. Our Consultants and Advisors will help you fill the gaps in your safety program and decide if now is the right time to take part in the COR program.
The program rewards employers who are committed to reducing workplace injuries and encourage worker participation. COR certification is offered by WorkSafeBC and delivered through Certifying Partners. AgSafe is the COR Certifying Partner for employers in the Agricultural industry.
Yes. Before hiring a Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW), employers are required to demonstrate active recruitment efforts to hire Canadians and permanent residents. This includes advertising the job publicly—such as on the national Job Bank—and keeping records of those efforts for at least six years.
While some advertising requirements are temporarily waived for primary agriculture positions (until December 31, 2025), employers are still expected to reach out to underrepresented groups and maintain documentation.
Tips to help ensure compliance:
- Include complete job details in your posting (e.g., duties, wage, location, contact info).
- Keep proof of where, when, and how long you advertised.
- Maintain clear records, especially if applying for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
Note: This is not a comprehensive list, and requirements continue to update and change depending on the TFW stream you are enrolled in. Please confirm your specific requirements before posting a job with the TFW function selected.
AgSafe HR Consultants are experts in BC employment standards, not TFW standards. However, they may be able to provide you with websites or contact information about where to find more information.
